📖 Register for Student Server Access

Why Server Access Is Required

In this course, you will upload and test your PHP projects on a remote class server. To do this, you need a student server account associated with your course section. This article explains how to register for an account and notify your instructor so your access can be approved.

Step 1: Sign Up on the LMS

Visit the My Web Training home page and click the Take a Class button. Complete the registration form using your real name and course email address. Choose a username and password you will remember. This creates your account on the LMS platform and establishes your web server username.

Step 2: Email Your Instructor

Once you have registered on the LMS, send your instructor an email (from your student email account) requesting server access. Be sure to include your course information and use a clear subject line.

Sample Email

What Happens Next

After your instructor approves your request, your account will be added to the correct class section. You will be able to log in and view your server credentials on your profile page. The username you chose during registration will be used as your server directory name and FTP login.

Verify Your Access

Once your server account is activated, you will be able to connect using FTP and begin uploading files. For full instructions on using your credentials and verifying server access, refer to the article:
